Annual Conference & Awards

Guides and assists in planning and staging the annual conference (including: Architects Day, Leadership Conference, Special Awards and Architectural Excellence Awards).

Chairman:     Gary J. Matczak, AIA

Associates

Advises AIA Pennsylvania on issues facing associate members.  Coordinated activities and share information between chapters and across the state.

Chairman:     Safiya J.A. Hodari, Assoc. AIA

Audit

The committee is part of the board. The primary function of the committee is to assist the board in fulfilling its oversight responsibilities with respect to (1) the annual review of the Society's books and records and (2) the system of internal controls that the Society as established.

Chairman:     Howard Quaintance, AIA

Communications

Advises on AIA Pennsylvania communications, marketing and public relations.

Chairman:     Matthew R. Luttrell, AIA

Executive

Supervise the Executive Director and act as a liaison to the Board of Directors on all matters requiring Board action.  It is also the Finance Committee to assist the Treasurer in the preparation of an annual budget for presentation to the Board.

Government Affairs

Recommend an annual legislative agenda and oversee the government affairs activities.

Chairman:     Elizabeth C. Masters, AIA

Licensure

Guides and assists in issues relating to the unauthorized practice of architecture and architectural licensing.

Chairman:     Bruce R. Johnson, AIA

Membership

Guides and assists efforts to increase membership and ensure that members' needs are met.
