Schools of Architecture

Interested in architecture? In order to begin a career in this exciting and rewarding field, you must first have a degree from an accredited institution. Below is a list of schools that offer you the first step towards your future.

Your education does not end with your degree; next, you will need to complete an internship under a registered architect. The Intern Development Program can guide you through the internship process. Upon completion of the internship, you will need to pass the Architect Registration Examination for your state.

Learning, however, never is complete once you are a registered architect. Some states require you to take continuing education courses in order to keep your licensure. If so, a membership in the AIA can help; the AIA offers continuing education credits throughout the year. AIA also offers free associate memberships to new graduates for the first 18 months after graduation.

In order to get a license in Pennsylvania, you must obtain a degree from an accredited institution.
